Can you expect the right to freedom when you have killed someone’s right to live? Yes, Tay K, the famous American rapper is a convicted murderer. Taymor Travon McIntyre, popularly known as Tay K got recognition in 2017 with his massive hit song “The Race”. This song came to 44th position on the US Billboard Hot 100 list and got platinum certification by the RIAA in January 2018. Despite the fact that this 21-year-old rapper became hugely famous and achieved incredible success in some of his songs, he is now spending time in prison for aggravated robbery and capital murder charges. Tay K: Early Life and Career

Taymor Travon McIntyre or Tay K was born in Long Beach, California on 16th June 2020. In his initial life, Tay K hardly spent any time with his father, Kevin Beverly as Kevin was imprisoned at that time. When Tay K became eight years old, his mother decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada along with Tay K and his sister. Later the family met Beverly after his release and they moved to Arlington, Texas for a new start.

In Texas, Tay K attended high school, however, he didn’t continue studying after the 9th grade. At that time, his love for music started growing and he was determined to pursue a career in music. When he was just 14 years old, he joined Daytona Boyz, the Arlington-based rap group, along with rappers Pimpyz and Santana Sage. In December 2014, Daytona Boyz released its first track named Drift.

Just after eight months, Tay K released his first solo song named BIFF XANNEN on his audio platform, SoundCloud in August 2015. However, he got considerable recognition with his second song, Sly Cooper, which he released after one month after releasing the first song. In March 2016, his song Megaman became hugely popular. But this song and his many other songs became famous only after he got arrested.

At the age of 17, he escaped from police after house arrest and released the most hit song of his career, The Race. Not only this song came to 44th position on the US Billboard Hot 100 list and got platinum certification by the RIAA but also a huge number of fans started demanding his release from prison through the hashtag campaign “#FREETAYK” after it was listed on the US Billboard Hot 100.According to Tay K, West Coast rapper Eazy-E, Chicago-born Chief Keef, and Crank That hitmaker Soulja Boy are some music personalities who have had a great influence on his music career.

Criminal Charges Against Tay K:

In January 2016, Tay K was with Eric Johnson (Known as Santana Sage, a member of Daytona Boyz) when Johnson shot Sara Mutschlechner, a student at the University of North Texas. Although Johnson was sentenced to 44 years in jail, there were no charges against Tay K.

In July 2016, Tay K and six other people invaded the home of a dealer in Mansfield with the intention to steal drugs and money. To enter the house, Tay K along with two women seduced a 19-year-old young woman, Zachary Beloate. Their group also killed the dealer and Belote’s friend, Ethan Walker. During interrogation, Tay K confessed his involvement in the robbery. Then the police placed him on home arrest until the court hearings come. But Tay K managed to remove the ankle monitors and escape from the police. On his way to San Antonio, Texas, he again went for a robbery and allegedly shot dead Mark Anthony Saldivar, a 23-year-old man during the robbery. He was also involved in another robbery before traveling to Elizabeth in New Jersey. In New Jersey, he recorded the song, “The Race”. In this song, he revealed how he ran from the police. Tay K finally got arrested on June 30, 2017, and on July 20, he was transferred to an adult jail.

On July 15, 2017, on the first trial, Tay K was found guilty of two serious robberies. Four days later, a jury Tay K guilty of three serious robberies and a murder. Interestingly, his song, “The Race” acted as supporting evidence. As a result, he was sentenced to 55 years of imprisonment. In 2018, his female partners were sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment and two other accused were sentenced to 25 years and 40 years of imprisonment respectively.

There are many Tay K fans who want him to be out of jail. Even though Tay K fans are hopeful about his freedom, there is no possible way that Tay K release date will appear anytime soon. Can Tay K Get Out of Jail with an Appeal Bond?

On June 15, 2021, Tay K stated that he would be on Instagram Live for his fans where fans can ask him questions directly. He also claimed he will come home soon on an appeal bond. However, we don’t know whether his appeal will be granted or not. It’s possible that if he can prove himself not guilty of the capital murder charge, he may secure an appeal bond. Otherwise, there is no hope for his release anytime soon.

Many of his fans still believe that Tay K is a victim of systematic oppression and they are continuously campaigning #blackouttuesday, and #blacklivesmatter. However, there is clear evidence against Tay K. For now, he has to serve 55 years of imprisonment for the murder charge and robbery charges. As he will have to serve his prison sentences simultaneously, he can only get bail after 27.5 years. So, the most possible Tay K release date would be January 23, 2047.
